The Komeya-Rokka farm has naturally cultivated its premium traditional koshihikari rice for 13 years in the heart of Niigata Prefecture, using meltwater from the Igarashi River (meltwater from the Awagatake and Sumon mountains).
The farm has one hectare of rice fields cultivated by the family. The farm has just initiated the process that will allow it to obtain its BIO JAS certification.
This rice of the Koshihikari Niigata variety, cultivated naturally, is small in size but is characterized by a sweetness and an important natural sweetness due to the method of cultivation used.
