This exceptional umeshu is aged for at least three years without any additive. These three years match the time needed to get a beautiful color and a perfect balance between alcohol, sugar and plum extract, providing exquisite flavor.

The city of Joyo, where our craftsman is established, has been renowned for his plum trees and shelters the planting of Aoya plums, the largest of Kyoto Prefecture. The native variety that is cultivated there, Joshuhaku, is a variety of high quality, thick and generous flesh, and the fishing perfume at full maturity.
