      Japan's national flower, sakura cherry blossom represents a period of renewal and optimism. The bursts of pink mark the end of winter and signify the beginning of spring. Due to their rapid blooming, cherry blossoms also symbolize the transience of life, a major theme in Buddhism.

      Edible flowers and leaves of Sakura have a distinctive flavor and divine fragrance. Taste of Sakura is subtly sweet and floral. It does not have the fruity taste of cherries. You may be surprised by the almond or almond kernel flavor without any bitterness.
      The stems of the sakura cherry blossoms in syrup are cut as close as possible, desalted, and then soaked in molasses, preserving the distinctive color and aroma of the cherry blossoms.
