      In the country of Kagami, in the city of Ryuo, Shiga Prefecture (who praises the Lake Biwa), farmers have inherited, generations to generation, a rich agriculture enjoying the pure spring water from the mountains.

      Our farmer, Yasunori Wakai, represents the 16th generation (since 1613) of his family to cultivate rice in the purest respect for traditions, on 32 hectares, in the prefecture of Shiga.

      Its rice reached the 5-star Master level, the highest rank of the Masters making these rice the ultimate in the field in Japan and the world.

      The Hokuriku region (including the Niigata Prefecture) is formerly called "Koshi No Kuni".

      Koshi means Koshi country and "hikari" means light. This Koshihikari rice very large, cultivated without pesticide, has a very balanced texture.

      It is a lighter rice that predisposes it for consumption during meals as well as for classic sushi.
