Yakitori (yaki = grilled, tori = chicken) are traditionally grilled chicken skewers made up of pieces of meat from all chicken parts, such as breasts, thighs, skin, liver and other giblets.
Usually prepared to order and cooked over charcoal, yakitori is a popular and inexpensive dish. This yakitori sauce is a blend of Fukuoka marudaizu soy sauce, sake and hon mirin to maximize chicken meat flavor.
This sauce original thickening gives the yakitori a shiny, glossy appearance. It can also be used as a teriyaki sauce, and goes equally well with hamburgers and grilled fish.
