Ichibancha Green Tea from Kagoshima

The Kagoshima Prefecture is renowned for its volcanic farmland on which the culture of high quality teas has developed. The leaves of Tés Ichibancha are the first first harvested in Kagoshima, at the end of March.

These young shoots are deemed very aromatic and have very herbaceous notes. Tea leaves are subject to prolonged steaming which gives them a pronounced vegetable flavor and a fresh aroma. In brewers, tea takes a dark green dress. This tea accompanies daily meals and pastries.
