This natural sauce, with no additives, colorants or preservatives, surprises with its sweet, fresh and tangy notes of plum ume. The seasoning is perfectly balanced. Ideal for tonkatsu, fried chicken and fish, fish tartar, grilled meats, crudités and grilled fish (sardines, mackerel).

Tonkatsu is a Japanese specialty made from breaded and fried pork. "Ton" means pork, and "katsu" is an abbreviation of the English cutlet, from the French côtelette. Tonkatsu "pork cutlets" are thick slices of breaded and fried pork, similar to German cutlets. They can be made from pork loin or pork loin.

This very popular specialty is usually served sliced as a meal, accompanied by shredded cabbage, rice, miso soup and pickles. Tonkatsu slices are seasoned with mustard and a thick, tangy Worcestershire or tonkatsu sauce.
