The shiso (or perilla) is a traditional Japanese aromatic plant with fresh aroma, fruity and slightly mentilated. The red variety, called Aka Shiso, sports purple leaves and pink flowers.

The shiso contains a lot of vitamin A and vitamin C and is used to season Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimis, tempuras or umeboshi plums.

This seasoning, sporting a pretty purple dress, is very floral, fresh, on acidic notes, fruity, mixing the hibiscus, ripe pomegranate, Alerola, the basil. Acidity is balanced.
