Kikkou Miso Miso Soup Bowl Kikkou

亀甲 Kikkou alludes to the shape of the carapace of a turtle, popular for lacquered objects because the turtle is known as a lucky animal.

Mokume refers to the drawing formed by the grain of a tree, popular for the lacquer objects and taken up in a Japanese metal work method which makes it possible to produce a laminated metal whose different layers are visible. We then speak of Mokume-Gane whose translation is "metal with wood grain", which describes the appearance of the metal that looks like the natural veining of the wood.
