In Japanese cuisine and confectionery, red bean paste is very popular.

In its "tsubuan" version, whole red beans are boiled with sugar but not processed. Tsubuan is a thick paste containing chunks and whole azuki beans.

Our artisan Yamasei's Tsubuan red bean paste is made exclusively from azuki beans grown on the island of Hokkaido

Red beans come from farms committed to sustainable agriculture, where the use of chemical fertilizers is more than halved.

Unlike other pastas on the market, our Koshian is not saturated with sugar.

Our perfect matches:

Japanese pastries (mochi daifuku, dorayaki...) and Western pastries (crêpes, galette des rois, puff pastries....). You can also spread it on bread for breakfast - it's delicious!
