Kakinosato sells local specialties which made from local ingredients, fresh organic vegetables and wild ayu (wild river fish).

Kaki no sato is located in Yoshika-cho, Shimane Prefecture, which is authorized as Eco Kingdom. Eco Kingdom is a certain area where has a good balance of nature and farming, and is suitable to produce safety agricultural products. There is a very strict standard to be authorized as Eco Kingdom. This area is protected in order to keep the beauty environment to the future.
Yoshika-cho is the source of Takatsu River, which was selected four times as a best river in Japan. Local people strive to protect clean water by using a water treatment system at each home, not to drain waste water directly into the river.
Furthermore Yoshika-cho is famous for an organic farming town. They started it about 37 years ago.
