Here, it has been revisited to bring it into line with Japanese tastes. The version we're offering has the particularity of being natural, with no added additives, colorants, preservatives or other flavor enhancers.

It owes its rich flavor to the quality of soy bean miso used.

Its powerful aroma is reminiscent of Mexican "mole poblano" with cocoa accents, but without the spiciness. We like the dried fruit notes (date, fig), the garlic and spice accents, the sweetness and the hints of viandante. This sauce goes remarkably well with meat tartars, Peking duck, grilled pork and beef, grilled or steamed vegetables, root vegetables, pasta and potatoes. It also enhances sauces for game meats and simmered meat dishes.
