Umibudo (literally sea grape in Japanese) is a species of green seaweed shaped like a miniature grapes bunc. Our umibudo is grown and harvested in mineral-rich seawater, drawn from a depth of 612 m in the ocean near Kumejima.

Umibudo quality we've selected is highly appreciated in Okinawa Prefecture. Sea grapes, once harvested by hand, are then preserved in deep sea water, keeping them fresh and stable.

Very important in order to preserve crunchy and crispy texture, drain in a colander, then soak immediately in clear, very cold water.

If mouth is too salty, immerse in clear water for a further 4 minutes. Drain and enjoy immediately. Grains crunch under the tooth, releasing a delicately iodized flavor.

We recommend seasoning with ponzu or sunomono vinegar, tosazu or kanisu condiments...
