Founded in 2010 in Yoichi (Hokkaido), Domaine Takahiko, run by Takahiko Soga, spans 6.7 hectares of volcanic clay soils mixed with sand and gravel derived from andesitic rock, in an oceanic climate, and practises organic, biodynamic and regenerative farming for an annual production of 15,000 litres. Trained in oenology and microbiology, and heir to the Obuse Winery, Soga developed his vocation at Coco Farm Winery before revealing the potential of Hokkaido grapes, then drawing inspiration from the Jura and Burgundy to create an estate dedicated to pinot noir after identifying Yoichi as an ideal terroir. This approach has led to international recognition, most notably with the wine "Nana-Tsu-Mori", added to the menu at Noma in 2020 and presented at the G7 summit in Hiroshima in 2023.
