  • The best to date
  • Produced without sulphites
  • Long and persistent finish

The 2023 vintage, which was extremely hot and dry, was of the highest quality. Head winemaker Hirayama, who has been making wine for over 40 years, described it as "the best vintage to date" and, as with the last three years, the wine was produced without the use of sulphites.

Tasting notes

Perfect pairings

Suitable for any dish that combines refreshing and rich flavours, such as boiled prawns with tartare sauce.

Tasting notes

Appearance: lemon yellow

Description

Aromas of Japanese citrus fruits, such as yuzu and sudachi, mingle with a pronounced mineral and iodine character with a hint of bitterness.

The lively acidity and subtle woody notes bring complexity, leading to a long and persistent finish. The palate is light, with a refreshing phenolic texture.

The style is dry with light hints of new oak that lend it complexity.

Label: This year's label depicts an urban landscape drawn using straight lines. Our artist, Tarek Abbar, once had a studio in Noto, where he worked in an old house. Unfortunately, his house was damaged in the recent earthquake, forcing him to relocate. This year's label, with its urban landscape reminiscent of Noto, is perhaps his tribute to the region.
