Description

The name KID comes from the image of the "Kishu climate" (the former name of Wakayama Prefecture) and also represents the innocence and freedom of a child.

The KID range, created by Heiwa Shuzou, aims to introduce the charm of sake to new generations who rarely drink it simply because they are unfamiliar with it. KID junmai sake has a medium alcohol level of 15%.

Its pasteurisation is described as manual. It is carried out using the "binkan hiire" method: the sake is bottled but the bottles are not completely sealed. They are first heated to +65°C. This light pasteurisation preserves the taste and aromas of the brew, as well as a pleasant freshness.

The rice varieties used are gohyaku mangoku (50% polishing) and kakemai (60% polishing). This sake is characterised by fresh and rounded notes, with a powerful nose of ripe banana.
