The word sengetsu does not only mean "crescent moon", but it actually refers to the finest type of crescent moon, where the moon resembles a curved thread in the sky.
The six stars surrounding the crescent moon on the label represent the six toji — master distillers — who have carefully guarded the history of Sengetsu for over a century. This Sengetsu shochu is ideal for discovering this Japanese spirit, and for sake lovers in search of something new.
