Kurata Foods, based in Fukuyama (Hiroshima Prefecture), is one of the leading producers of regional noodles and ramen in western Japan. In 1997, the company created Fukuyama Ramen to promote its home city, before going on to develop more than 30 products, including the Setouchi Noodle Tour series.
Committed to international markets since 2005, the company now exports its products to more than 38 countries and plays an active role in spreading ramen culture around the world. Its range includes both fresh and dried noodles, among them a line of vegetable sōmen with no added salt that is particularly popular in Asian markets.
