Hakodate Beikoku, originally a food cooperative founded in 1951 to ensure a stable supply of rice in southern Hokkaido, was restructured in 1956 to become Hakodate Beikoku Co., Ltd., specialising in the milling and marketing of terroir rice.
The company is recognised for the quality of its products, particularly the renowned varieties Yumepirika, Fukkurinko and Nanatsuboshi, and stands out for its traceability and quality policy guaranteeing rice that meets European standards.
