Fukami Umeten, an umeboshi producer since 1940, crafts 100% natural plums, hand-harvested at full ripeness to preserve their full flavour quality. Mastering every stage of production, the house offers products free from chemical seasonings, artificial colourings and flavourings. Sourced exclusively from the Nanko Ume variety of the Namba region in Wakayama Prefecture, these plums are carefully selected and then brined at 6% salt, developing a tender, fleshy texture and an aromatic profile that is both subtle and powerful — a reflection of a recognised expertise.
