Domaine Ichi
Located in the Yoichi/Niki region of Hokkaido, which is well-suited to fruit growing thanks to its climate and natural ventilation, Domaine ICHI cultivates grape varieties close to those of Alsace as well as local varieties, using organic farming with limited inputs.
Its scattered vineyards are monitored using modern technologies, and the wines are crafted from organic grapes, with wild yeasts, without filtration or additives, in an approach centred on the natural expression of the grape. Founded by Ichiro Ueda from a farm established in 2000, the estate evolved to produce the first certified organic wine in Japan and obtained its certification as Domaine ICHI following its creation in 2020.
