Mujun is a design and craft collective that lives and works in the Japanese countryside, where traditional craftsmanship is still very much alive. It is made up of designers and young artisans originally specialised in knife-making. Mujun cooperates with seasoned craftspeople who have been honing their skills for many years. Its role as a design agency is to modernise the beauty of their craft and bring it to a wider audience. In 2020, Mujun acquired 20 hectares of land in Shimane with the ambition of building a village dedicated to craftsmanship.
