This magnificent umeshu has the elegance and delicacy of a rosé wine. It presents a lovely old rose colour with light silvery reflections, the colour of the pink side of ume plums at perfect ripeness.

Description
This plum wine is crafted by macerating "Tsuyu Akane" plums (vivid red plums derived from a cross between the plum and the Japanese apricot) in Takagaki Shuzo ginjo sake. Blending with Nankou plums achieves a perfect balance between the aroma of ginjo sake, the plum flavour, and the characteristic acidity of the Tsuyu Akane.
The aromas are rounded, sweet, and of ripe fruit, with rich and complex accents. The flavours, not overly sweet, are initially floral before evolving towards tangy strawberry. The finish is drier.
