Originally, wild herbs and plants were used medicinally.
Today, those offered by our craftsman are still widely used in herbal medicine.
Our Sansho leaf blend is made in Nanae-cho, near the town of Hakodate known for its warm climate and the lowest humidity in Hokkaido.
This area is surrounded by abundant nature and benefits from numerous water sources.
Our mixture is made entirely by hand, a mixture of Sansho leaves, Kumazasa bamboo leaves (Sasa Albomarginata), Dokudami pepper grass (Houttuynia Cordata), Persimmon leaves (Diospyros kaki), which all grow wilderness in the mountains.
Infused, it restores a refreshing citrus flavor (Sansho) and a unique and subtle spicy taste.
Sansho belongs to the rutaceae family, so citrus fruits and its leaves are rich in essential oils.
Sansho essential oil activates the function of the stomach and has a good effect on detoxification and hypersensitivity to cold.

Our perfect combination : our mixture does not contain caffeine. It can be enjoyed at any time of the day including after meals or before going to bed. This infusion mixture will delight cooks and pastry chefs, chocolate makers, ice cream makers, whether for savory or sweet preparations.
