Nikko porcelain tableware is extremely popular among young married couples, also as a gift for Mothers’ Day and Grandmothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day, Valentine's Day, for anniversary presents, end of year celebrations, christenings, and more.

This rice bowl and chopstick holder set are suitable for everyday use. The Nikko porcelain collection selected belongs to the Komon Asobi design. It has a fine structure and it can be roughly translated as “enjoy the playful elegance of the Edo era”.

Play hide-and-seek with these cute designs with hidden motifs. Here there are hidden letters among the chilli peppers and a pear among aubergines.

Red chilli peppers are used as an amulet throughout the world. The hidden letter “P” symbolises pepper, which, just like human beings, “knows it has an inner strength that has to emerge”.

Aubergine is known as “Nasu” in Japanese. The word also means “to accomplish”. The design is therefore a good omen. The hidden design is a pear, “Nashi” in Japanese. Traditional nashi is a round shape and represents the mystery of Japan, because it is neither an apple nor a pear.

This dish allows people to have fun choosing their own design and finding a hidden object, person or animal. This is representative of the typical Japanese humour during the Edo era.
