Sweet red bean Yamasei Koshian paste is made from beans grown on Hokkaïdo island.
They come from farms practicing a «reasoned» farming method where the use of chemical fertilizers is reduced by half. Their skin has been completely removed from this paste through sifting. Compared with other paste offered on the market, our Koshian is very well balanced sugar content.
Our perfect combination : Its use is well known in the elaboration of western or Japanese pastries. You can also spread it on bread for breakfast, a real delight ! We really appreciate its well balanced sugar content.
YAMASEI is short for YAMASHITA SEIZABURO, the full name of the craftsman when it was founded in 1938, in the canton of Ayauta, Kagawa Prefecture (Shikoku island, south west of Japan).
