Since 1989 the amount of land being used for Hinohikari rice cultivation has steadily increased being the third largest after Koshihikari and Hitomebore rice.
Hinohikari rice is grown in the west of Japan. It is a hybrid of Koshihikari and Koganebare rice.
"Hino" means "salute", alluding to the region of Kyushu in ancient times, and "hikari" means "sun" .
Together, they mean that the rice shines when it has grown.

Our perfect combination : when cooking, you need to add a little more water compared with other types of rice, However, when sautéing you need to reduce the amount of water used.
